What are the environments like?

All environments at Discovery Church are comprised of the two primary elements: powerful worship and a life-changing message. Worship at Discovery is led by a talented live band and the style is consistent with today's culture. The messages are dynamic and relevant teaching messages. A weekend experience lasts for one hour - you can always expect them to start and end on time. You can expect the Host Team to give you a friendly greeting and have the knowledge to direct you to where ever you need to go – Coffee, snacks, DiscoveryLAND (Nursery), DiscoveryKIDS (elementary), Restrooms, Seating. In addition, the leadership team will spend time engaging, connecting and doing ministry with the church body throughout the week.

What about my children?

Yes, we have a place for them too! DiscoveryLAND which is for your infant - pre-K child and DiscoveryKIDS for your elementary aged children. Both of these environments are available every Sunday morning. You need an environment where you can focus on God without distractions and so do your children.

Anything for Students?

DC Student Ministry gathers EVERY Wednesday from 6:30PM-8PM at The Refuge! The DC Student Staff is dedicated to connecting the heart of your student to the heart of God. The staff creates an environment filled with unique Bible teaching, rocking worship, small groups, extreme games, and much more.

During the weekend, we encourage students to take part in the Saturday or Sunday Worship Experience with their parents or develop their leadership skills by serving in a ministry where they’re most passionate such as Kids, Tech, Host, ect… Check the calendar for ALL upcoming events!

What denomination are you?

We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. As a new church start-up, they have been so gracious in supporting us and in return a small portion of our tithe goes to support other church plants and missionaries around the world. The SBC theology is on point and if you would like to look at our beliefs check it out here!

What do I wear?

Take a break from the work week dress codes, relax come as you are. We care about you -- not what you wear (just wear something).

How much does it cost to go there?

Nothing. We do have an offering every week, but it's not for people who are checking out the church. The people who have chosen to partner with this church support Discovery financially. You won't find us trying to squeeze cash out of you every time you walk through the door. Giving should never flow out of compulsion or guilt, but from a grateful heart.
